It’d been almost two years since I’d screen printed anything. Since developing lower back issues a few years ago, I hadn’t had the desire to print for fear of re-injuring myself or making my condition worse. In those two years I’ve done almost everything the doctors told me to do, short of back surgery. I’ve lost a bunch of weight, done many forms of stretching and therapy to try and strengthen my back, changed a lot of stuff about my daily life, so I can be active again. Over the past month or so, I’ve decided to test the waters, and slowly start printing again. Taking time between each color to rest and make sure not to strain myself as I hand printed again. My first piece, I designed some 3 years or so ago, while working in the tattoo supply industry. I wanted something simple and easy to print for the first one out of the gate. This was a test for me to see if I could do it again. It worked out well, and I’m happy to say I will continue to strengthen my back and slowly start making art again.
I only printed a handful of these. 20 pcs total.
